How much greenhouse gas will the natural world absorb through the year 2050?

That’s the question an interdisciplinary team of world-class scientists set out to answer.

Led by the US Geological Survey, the team combined the expertise of ecologists, oceanographers, botanists, computer scientists and economists to address this question through theoretical “story lines” of probable outcomes.

Dering served as facilitator of the team’s work sessions, culminating in the 400+ page final report.
